Age Friendly Streets in Bristol
Three communities enjoy all-age get togethers
This summer and autumn Streets Alive has been working with residents in dozens of streets in 3 diverse areas of Bristol, in conjunction with Bristol City Council's Neighbourhood Partnership teams.
We have been promoting our Age Friendly Streets campaign with residents in dozens of streets in Greater Fishponds/Eastville and in Bishopston.
Also, in Brislington we have trained and supported the Council staff to network with residents and to encourage street parties. The local Partnership also funded a new street party kit of bunting, road sigbns and play equipment to be kindly stored at Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust on an ongoing basis.
The work will continue over the autumn to encourage all-age get togethers before Christmas.
